Brownie Girl Scout Troop 595 from Municipal Elementary School in Roy baked cookies to deliver to people in their neigh- borhoods, including Mayor Wayne Kimber, who received a plate of cookies by the girls. Girl Scout Brownie Troop 670 from Valley View Elementary held a Christmas boutique, selling hand-deliver- ed handmade items. The troops goal was to raise enough money to purchase a ticket for each girl in the troop to see The Nutcracker. Leader Pam Bisoni said the sale was very successful, and the troop will travel together to see the show. Under the direction of troop leader Gail Winn, Junior Girl Scout Troop 640 from Kanesville Elementary School Sugar and Spice, Girl Scouts are Nice, was decorated with cones, gingerbread men and candy canes. The tree and the decorations were all donated by the troop, with proceeds going to Canyon View School for the Handicapped. Cadette Girl Scout Troop 639 has adopted a grandparent for the holidays to bring some holiday cheer to an older woman in the community who lives alone. Leaders Kay Small and Donna Eliason will help the girls collect Their tree, ice-crea- m made decorations for a Christmas tree for the Christmas Tree Wonderland at Union Station in Ogden.
