The animal revision was started sev-years ago and has gone rough two committee studies. It has been reviewed by several uncilmen and three mayors so : hope it will be the improve-en- t desired. rhe basic laws are still the same th some minor clarifications, e still require all dogs off the ners property to be on a leash, ain. or cord. The law stipulates that this cleaning should be done once every 72 hours. When a domestic animal is hit in the roadway by a motor vehicle, the driver is required to notify the owner, the animal control department or the police department. Emergency vehicles are exempt when in the act of performing their duties. This provision is to alleviate unnecessary pain and suffering of animals struck on the roadway. Anyone seeing someone failing to do so can wnte down the license number and criminal charges can be pursued.
