She is currently working as home economics teacher at a Delta High School In her spare time she enjoys sewing (what’s that?) and horses cooking From her elementary years Mrs three interesting Utley remembers items: 1) the big rock they played on in Kindergarten 2) kick ball games and 3) the teacher that always played the piano while students “marched” to the gym for programs Mrs Utley has enjoyed her time at Delta North thus far We hope the enWe wish her hapjoyment is piness and success in each of her future endeavors Evelyn Warnick basketball DNES President PTA displaying no ordinary DNES PTA Raffle Tickets are being sold at Delta North Elementary in the officp for 50 cents each Five tickets can be purchased for $200! The ball has been autographed by team members of the Boston Celtics We think that makes it quite extraordinary! The ball will be raffled at the basketball game during halftime on January 20 1988 at the Delta The lucky High School gymnasium the ball needs not be in atof recipient tendance at the game to be eligible to win Pajama Party held Cafeteria personnel sponsored a pajama "breakfast" lunch for the students and staff at Delta South Elementary This was a very fun and exciting time for everyone involved The youngsters were invited to wear their pajamas for the special lunch if they so desired A ham and scrambled egg lunch was served These special ladies serving our school have had a number of promotional activities to upgrade the school lunch program A huge Coyote Card Thank You to Mrs Juvene Porter and all the lunch gals We are all indebted to you for your excellent service to each of us The PLAZA TWIN THEATRE THRU Eighteen years of service MR AND MRS serving in the capacity k Teddy Bears lost by Sarah Jo I ouder Two Teddy Bears made by Alternative Learning Center students were lost or stolen from two sweet ladies at Delta’s Extended Care Center One lady is blind but said she knew when the bear was in her arms that it loved her Here at the Alternative Learning Center the students were told of the missing bears The first reaction was one of sadness and immediately all wanted to make new ones and give them to the ladies With donated material again these wonderful students will be making the bears As soon as they are completed the bears will be taken to the Extended Care Center and presented to the ladies Mrs Styler has told of many reactions the ladies and gentlemen express towards their bears Each patient expresses their feelings in different ways and all love their bears The Teddy Bears are soft fuzzy warm and cuddly They help provide hours of fun and joy to their proud owners Another big Thank You goes to the Hinckley Lions Club for donating the material for the making of the Teddy Bears Timber’ embers Because of its dense cellular structure one cord of maple wood yields approximately 140 pounds of ash when burned A cord of wood is equal to approximately 128 cubic feet or a stack of wood four feet wide four feet high and eight feet long Some woods with low densities such as pine and Douglas Hr often leave only 25 to 45 pounds of ash per cord burned E JAN 21 at the Pendray Plaza STEPHENSON Twin 7:00 9:15 Great Basin New fee schedule new fee schedule has been imand tours for camping plemented through Lehman Caves in Great Basin National Park Superintendent A1 Hendricks announced today that the new fees for special uses and services within the park are effective January 5 1988 There remains no fee for entering America's newest national park Fees for tours through Lehman Caves are: S3 00 for adults age 16 and over $2 00 for children age 6 to 15 Free for children age 5 and under and S 50 for holders of Golden Age Passports Spelunking tours will cost S6 00 and are offered during the summer months from the Memorial Day Weekend through the Labor Day A onHw Blvd Topaz at retirement party After of school lunch worker for a period of 18 years our own Mrs Eladean Dorbett Stephenson retires A special program was held to honor Mrs Stephenson A large travel suitcase was presented to her to express the love and appreciation from the students and staff of Delta South Elementary The singing group “3 Hits and A Miss" serenaded her with one of her favorite songs "Could Have This Dance" Eladean's husband Merrill was invited to share this special occasion with her A big Coyote Card to you Mrs Stephenson for all of your service to us through the years We will all miss you MERRILL r 520 Weekend Fees for camping in Great Basin National Park are charged only during the summer months when full services are provided A fee of S500 per site per night will be charged at the Upper and Lower Lehman Creek Campgrounds No camping fee will be charged at all other campgrounds located within the Lower Lehman Creek Campark and there pground is open is no camping fee during the months when no drinking water is provided due to cold weather Fees for all special uses and services in Great Basm National Park are based on comparable fees charged by both the public and private sectors within this region for similar services and facilities “BIGGEST LAUGH -- m IMHCDOUt JMi AT THE MU pm MOVIES!
