The prospects are good that there will be no let up before the election. The democrats with I. C. Thorsen as their epeaker have been holding meetings out over the county for a week or two and are still at it. His night at Castledale was Wednesday. He had a good audience I i and certainly went after them from his j point of view which is the usual demo- cratic one of picking flaws. When he had finished C. E. Larson made the i talk for the candidates and showed each of them up as a "sure winner." Senator Carl Badger, G. A. Iverson and Jesse D. Jewkes opened the republican re-publican county campaign at Huntington Hunting-ton th"n went to Ferron and Orangeville, Orange-ville, Badger and Iverson being here on Saturday evening. He is an earnest and convincing talker and has the facts I as to the operation of prohibition in other states so well at hand that he has no trouble to show an audience the j folly of trying to force prohibition on a place that is not ready for it. He I named over the many states which had ; tried it and the few who now have it, I showing clearly that .prohibition is a good thing but that it is a law that j must have the sentiment back of it to be of any effect. G. A. Iverson, is the can 1. date of the I republicans for state senator and made a good clean, talk showing his pride in j being a candidate of a party whicn has developed the county and is sail pus. -ing it along.
