This was not true of Churchill, however, who sexually was pretty much of a straight arrow. There seems to be no positive correlation between sexuality and statesmanship. But who is most responsible for the failure of U.S. policy in Iran under the departed Shah?R. De Jesus, Los Angeles, Cal. A. The CIA and State Department under Kissinger reported "no danger ahead signals" for the Shah. And even when former CIA Director Richard Helms was Ambassador to Iran 1973-7there were no warnthat Shah the was ings being opposed by commercial and religious elements in his country.
