The occasion is the publication of his latest book A Collection of Short Hunters in the Snow Stories." The reading is sponsored by the University of Utah Press and the University of Utah Department of English. Mr. Kranes, a Professor of English at the University of Utah, won the Universitys Distinguished Teaching Award in 1971. His writings include fiction, a novel, Margins," Nevada" that was stage plays, most recently produced at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and Whatevers Fair and a radio drama for National Public Radio, The Young Comic and the Folksinger." He is currently working on a novel.
