Miss Minerva Mace and Miss Hatch of Gunnison spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day in Manti. Mrs. Wm. H. Olsten returned Sunday Sun-day from Idaho where she spent the summer. Her mother Mrs. Griffin accompanied her. Mrs. Sporry and Miss Florence came home from Provo Friday last. The members of the music section gave a party Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Reid in honor of the Warner?, who leave shortly to make their home in Idaho where Mr. Warner has been engaged to teach school. Music by Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. Mrs. Chapman and Miss Mansfield was very much enjoyed. A. number of games were played and refreshments were served. The husbands hus-bands of the members were special guests as were also Prof, and Mrs. Robison, Mrs. Winnie Candland, Miss Allie Cox and Miss .Marguarite Mansfield. Mans-field. Friday evening Miss Geneva Jensen entertained at a candy pull. Those present were the Msses Lydia Mickel-son, Mickel-son, Irflia Ried, Hettie Alder, Charlotte Char-lotte Parry, Libbie Crawford, Kate Johnson and Messrs. Willie Hoggon, Alfonzo Henrie, Melvin Porter, Heber Bird and Ross Cox. The democratic county executive committee held a meeting in this city Saturday. Dr. and Mrs. C. W. Bird went to Salt Lake last Monday ,to attend the Irrigation Congress and State Fair, also to look up a home. After they return the Dr. expects to finish his work here and leave for the city November No-vember 1st where they will make their future home. John T. Christenson returned a few daya ago from a Salt Lake hospital where he was operated on for gall stone. He is recovering quite rapidly. Miss Geneva Anderson returned Sunday Sun-day from a stay of seven weeks in Eureka. She will attend the high school here this winter. i Mrs. Ralph Belliston of Nephi came J over Monday for a short visit with her mother, Mrs. Clara Farnsworth. Mrs John Shand entertained at dinner din-ner Friday afternoon in honor of her daughter Afton's sixth dirthday. Friday evening the R. K. class surprised sur-prised Mrs. N. W. Anderson. Dr. and Mrs. Fd Hosford are here on a visit from California. Mrs. E. P. Tuttle entertained Tuesday Tues-day evening for Dr. and Mrs. Ed Hosford. Hos-ford. Orson Madsen and M. A. Boyden and sons, Webster and Juan, went to Salt Lake Sunbay to assist the Mt. Pleasant band playing for the irrigation congress and state fair.
