Show LAWRENCE The M. I. A. gave an entertainment last Tuesday evening, as an initiation of this years work. A large crowd attended and seemed to be at the height j of their glory. Following is the program: pro-gram: Song by the choir, prayer-by ! Bishop O. N. Tuft, song by choir, reading read-ing by A. H. Wilstead; quartet, Elmer Hill and company; recitation, Maria Brinkerhoff; reading, Pres. Estella Jensen; recitation, Ivy JJensen. Dancing Dan-cing and picnic were then participated in until benediction by Elder Lauritz Hansen. The Tuft brothers, Albert, and Summers, Sum-mers, have returned from the San j Juan county where thay have been I during the summer. I Mrs. Lester Day of Hiawatha is here ! visiting with relatives. Christopher and Abraham Day were in attendance at the M. I. A. party I last Tuesday. James Nielson, who rented his farm ' for his summers leave, is again at home. Elder Lauritz Hansen, who has recently re-cently returned from his mission, is visiting with his brother J. P, Hansen ' and family. Arthur M. Jacobs of Torrey, Wayne county, is residing at present with his sister, Mrs. Minnie Christensen. Mr. Jacobs is attending the Emery Stake ' academy. That nuptial smile is manifest in the countenance of one of our popular girls; ' of course cupid, the god of love, is to be blamed. ! |
