Show INHERITANCE TAX I BENEFITS UTAH I The largest inheritance tax on record j was paid to Utah by Mrs. Harriman which j 'viil go into the public funds. The ad- oition of this much money to local rie- j posits should give an impetus to indust- j rial enterprises. And if it is wisely j spent it should help to advertise the I state. It is a good suggestion that part of the rnor.ey be applied on the Capitol building, but some of it ought to go to the improvement of roads and the building of bridges, wherever necessary, nec-essary, for other counties and cities are entitled to their share in the benefits of j this large contribution to the public j funds. Incidentally we may remark i t lat to.ee n .M-vat-v ; r.rlriad legislation of the state has resulted in this addition j to the state funds. For without such legislation the incorporation would not have been effected wider the laws of Utah but some other state, and the benefits would have gone elsewhere. |
