Show LAWRENCE Mr. W. H. Staker was happily surprised sur-prised on his thirty-fifth birthday, Saturday the 19th inst. Mr. Staker was master of ceremonis, and entertained enter-tained the crowd very highly. The stork has again made its appear-ence, appear-ence, and left a girl at the home of L. R. Staker. Dr. Hill of Huntington was in attendance. The Primary department of our public pub-lic school was dismissed one day this w?ek, owing to the illness of Miss Mathie. I It is understood that Melvin Hill, i who is in Germany studying music under j the direction of Prof. Gates, (a brother i of Miss Luc Gates) is singing in grand opera. This means that Mr. Hill will be one of the world's greatest singers. I. N. Day is able to be out 'gain.- although his leg is still stiff from the cut. Miss Maria Brinktrhoff, who has been at Huntington taking dress-making the past month, has returned , as one of the renowned in her class. |
