An experimental program of neighborhood visits by an assistant to one of Utahs congressmen, giving area citizens a chance to voice opinions, criticisms and suggestions, as well as aiding persons in solving problems with federal agencies, has been well accepted by valley residents. Dave Knibbe, assistant to Rep. Dan Marriott, said he set up the neighborhood visit program to work similar to the congressmens mobile office. All last year I was in charge of the mobile office, Mr. Knibbe said. The idea was to locate it in or near a high activity area such as a post office, school or shopping center, and assist people with their problems with government agencies. He said he would also state Rep. Marriotts position on various issues. The neighborhood visit program is set up to travel throughout the branches of the Salt Lake County Library System and in the Salt Lake - City Library.- - The meetings have been held from 4 6 p.m. But Mr. Knib , be said this seems to conflict with times when persons are available to come to the library. 640 TV and Stereos The Salt Lake Looking lof a new TV or Stereo' Why not sell your old but stiH use-abl- e set through a Want Ad and use the cash to buy a new one that you wiN also be able to nd March under this classification 30, want-ad- s 23TO339 1978 HI! |
