Show REPUBLICAN PLATFORM, EMERY COUNTY Wo, the Republicans of Rmery County, in convention assembled, renew our j allegiance of the National Republican Party anil the principles adopted in the National Republican platform in l'.MS. j Wo endorse the splendid administration of the Hon. Wm. II. Ta ft, and especially j do we endorse the superior work of our Congressional delegation at Washington j in maintaining and standing for such legislation as prop erly protects the industries i of this State, such as load, wool, sugar, etc., and especially commend the work , in securing better homestead laws for the State of Utah, dry farm, and provisions j to continue the reclamation services and to encourage the home-maker and the groat, development of the arid West. We endorse the present administrat ion of our State and County. and especially j do wo approve the attitude, of Governor William Spry towards the good roads and j conservation enterprises and urge that our Congressional delegation use their best efforts to eifect such changes in the present policies as will aid in the early development devel-opment of the latent resources of the state. We endorse in its entirety the platform adopted by the Republican State Convention Con-vention at Ogden, and we pie lge our Legislative candidates to a careful observance observ-ance of the principles contained thereia an I the policies outlined thereby, and we commend that portion of the state platform urging o.ir campaign speakers to especially es-pecially urge the people to vote for the proposed amendment providing for the maintenance of h;g'i seh ls an ) kin.l -rg irtens. We co nmen I the systsnUic c ntru ti v.i of p-;rm in mt gw.l roads by our county commissioners and we pledge our candidates to a continuance of this policy throughout our entire county. We pledge our candidates to a conservative and ec inoinical administration of county affairs and with pardonable pride we direct attention to the fact that the bouks and records of the clerical otri -es of Emery county are equal to those of any county in the state. We hereby pledge our candidates to the strict enforcement of the laws of the state, or any laws that may hereafter be anacted during their term of office, regulating or prohibiting the sale of intoxicating liquors. We demand that our next legislature make a sufficient appropriation, to be used in conjunction with a federal appropriation, to einstrj-'t a goo 1 au I suffi :ient wagon road across the Manti national forest between the counties of Emery and Sanpete. |
