| Show PRESIDENT KILLING WOLVES follow the dog in wolf hunt in oklahoma A special from frederick okia says the wolf chase to which the president has been so eagerly looking forward to began early monday morn ing at camp roosevelt eighteen miles southeast of here the party of about a dozen including president roose velt and his doctor had not traveled far until their dogs were leading them on to what turned out to be a fresh scent soon the leaders were re warded by seeing in a neighboring ravine a lank gray wolf deliberately loping as if unmindful of its pursuers the dogs all seemed to catch sight ot the prey at the same time tor horses and dogs now set forward with re dewed energy the wolf tried to elude its pursuers by dodging but this only hurried matters at it enabled the fore most dogs to catch up with its prey as the wolf turned to beat off its as gallants sal lants other dogs sprang upon the bristling animal and bore it to the ground where it was dis patched without the aid of the hunt ers two other wolves were killed in much the same manner before the almost direct rays of the sun indicated that it was about time tor the mid day meal the president was bably at the head of the procession of riders |
