| Show ATTORNEY WILL REID FOUND DEAD IN BED will reid the well known manti attorney tiled at his at an earl bour sunday morning last some time that morning when one of his little girls went to call him or breakfast no answer came to her summons and it waa discovered that he was dead his tt 19 was in salt lake deceased was thu son 0 john P and margaret kirkwood reid and was born in bekart ireland get 21 1818 hia mother passed avva some years ago and his father res aos in canada with one of his daughters while eta oung man in his native land he learned the trade of french polisher he came to utah in I 1 1872 after his arrival in utah he taught school and studied law and was admitted to pra tice in the supreme court of utah on june 22 1883 he w as elected county prosecutor the same ear and re elected in 1881 1880 1888 and again in 1896 he was nten dent of schools of count in in 1889 ha was elected a member of the territorial legislature and was appointed probate judge under the second administration of president cleveland in 1000 he was nominated bv the dem for district attorney of the seventh district but was defeated by wm D livingston he was a candi date at the republican judicial chuven lion for the same ofhie last tall when judge F E woods was nominated mr married jane leatham daughter of robert aad jane S leatham of wellsville cache count april 21 he waa the father of ten children three of whom are married ahey are mrs H E dark mrs lloyd craw ford of salt like city and mrs stank crawford deceased was well known in emer count having had a good practice at the local ba here he was an able at torney his brother john of orange ville was at holper when apprised of his brothers death to which place he came from sevier count where he was quite ill last week |
