Show A .? V www.moabhappeningS.com Moab Happening Earth Mandala Froject brings Ecuadoran musicians-t- o July 2000 Moab. Locally renowned and widely acclaimed sculpture artist Vigali Hamilton will share slides, stories and the music of the Andes with "Atahualpamanta" in a celebration at Old City Park on Sunday, July 23 beginning at 3 p.m. An evening performance will be held at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center on Saturday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults; youth under 15 years are admitted free. Vigali has traveled the world crafting sculptures immense in size and spirit as she meets with indigenous people of the world. Included in her process as she makes these treks - known as the Earth is bringing together artists, indigenous peoples and community to create sculpture, music and theater for world peace. The July 23 event invites the community for music Mandala Project - and dance with audience participation. Vigali, founder of Earth Mandala, will show slides from her recent trip to Ecuador, in the Otavalenan village of Peguche, Ecuador, which is home to the visiting musicians. Vigali and community outreach coordina'or Edie Hartshorne and the indigenous community there helped create the Andean Cultrual Center. The Center consists of the sculpture, Achilly Pachacamac, the God, school for indigenous children and the women's cooperative, Huarmi Maqui (Hands of pre-Inc- an Women). yV - '1 r 4 v 4 V.
