Karen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints and lovingly served in many callings. She especially enjoyed the time spent as Young Women's Leader. She served as the secretary of the Fredonia Elementary for 14 years, and loved working around and with the children. She enjoyed crafts, and was a great cook, her teaching was always done by example in all things. Most of all, her fmaily always came first. Survivors inlcude her husband Marvin of Fredonia; children Michelle (John) Shumway of Blanding, Utah, Sheila Johnson of Kanab, Marvin Demont (Sandra) Hatch of Fredonia and Travis Dell (Lizabeth) Hatch of Cedar City, sister Joyce (Tom) Johnson of Kanab; and 10 grandchildren.
