Free tax help for seniors Harvey Zilm, Kane County Aging Coordinator, announced that the Tax Counselingfor the Elderly (TCE) would be available again this year at both Kane County Senior Centers. This program, sponsored jointly by the IRS and AARP, is designed to help seniors who need to file income tax returns. There is no charge for this service. TCE service is available at the Kanab Senior Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting at 1 p.m. The service will be available at the Long Valley Senior Center on February 21. Other dates can be made by appointment.. For . further, informa--. tion or to make an apppointment, 4 0 call in Kanab or in Long Valley. It was announced that both centers would make VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) available for low income persons. Both of these programs are designed for simple returns. Should either group have complex returns, the IRS has instructed the volunteers to refer those individuals to paid preparers. This service will be available through April 15, 1996.
