Tourists all over the world Southwest Native News will come to take pictures of natives building temples and singing, Jesus loves Me. On extra bus driver Dear Editor: I am a resident of Fredonia. I just heard the other day that the Fredonia School District had hired a male activity bus driver. I was wondering why? I know that there are three female bus drivers that are very capable to drive that activity bus. The one female driver has been driving that bus for about ten or more years I think. Does the district know that they could be heading for another lawsuit? That to me is a very serious discrimination act. If I were you female bus drivers, I sure as heck would raise some Cain. I also heard the amount of pay that they started that driver out on. I think that he is getting about three dollars more an hour than any of the female drivers. The school district should really be glad that they dont have me as a driver because they would be in a world of hurt again! I have nothing against the m ale driver that they hired. I have heard he is a good driver and I am sorry he is caught in the middle. Now this would be a cut and dried case and the district would have to pay seriously. What other reason would they hire a male driver if its not that they dont want female drivers on that bus? Sounds kinda fishy, dont you think? We the taxpayers are the ones who are paying for this extra bus driver when there is no sense in it. I say everyone should complain to the school board on this one. Those women have the right to drive that activity bus... We as taxpayers have the right to say we dont want an extra driver.
