The gifts which accompany this letter are a very small gesture from our family to yours, a tangible way to express even a small amount of the appreciation we all feel. We are humbled by your example of just good old fashioned being a good neighbor, doing what needed to be done with no questions asked. It was no surprise to us that when asked to think of a suitable gift, you guys thought of things that would help you continue to serve others better! You have, literally, our eternal gratitude. Thank you again! And may you continue to serve others with the same grace and selflessness we experienced, as we know you will! Dear Editor: In the early weeks of March, Kanab was visited by some pleasant people who are snowbirds presently living in Sedona. They had contacted the Travel Council office and stated they were looking for someone to give them a tour of the area. Two members of the Canyon Country 4x4 Club freely gave of their time to take these people to different sites within easy driving distance of Kanab. They were very impressed with the sites. These visitors are not young people, rather a vanguard for a group of seasoned citizens, some of which are in their eighties, who will be coming to Kanab in April to spend several days d in their 4x4 SUVs. This is exactly what the Canyon Country 4x4 Club is trying to promote for Kanab, and Tribute to Ross Wipson welcomes any and all who wish Dear Editor: to help in this endeavor. I was saddened the loss of Joyce Logan our friend, Ross by Wipson. I have Kanab reflected on his life and what it Kane County meant to those of us who were fortunate enough to know him. One day I asked him about a tool that could wash walls and swivel so you could get the ceiling and comers. I just happen to know where you can get one. He enthusiastically offered me a catalog and I ordered the tool. He was most excited to deliver the ceiling mop and showed me exactly how to use it. I will always think ofRoss when I spring clean, and I will try to sing a hymn when I find myself sloshing around in grimy water, as I wash a wall or window. I will remember his smile, his devotion to his church, and his dedication to his darling wife, Jane. I may even learn to tolerate cats a little better. Most of all I miss his friendship, his eagerness to be a part of our lives. Dam it Ross, Im starting to cry, so Im going to stop right now. I suppose heaven has a lot of windows to shine, I can almost see your reflection coming through the glass of an eternal palace, as that unmly mop of hair flies in the cool breeze and you still smile, Ross Wipson, YOU STILL SMILE!
