Paul 9-- 1 1 Bees 4 1 Mets 2 4 The Cubs with a 1 won-lo- st record to a narrow mathematical lead over United Way and the Jets, but a single game could throw the standings into a three-wa- y tie. The weeks play was completed without a hitch from the weather, and a make-u- p game was played Saturday to get the schedule back on track. But the statistics for that game were not available, and will be printed next week. The Cubs split the weeks games losing to the Jets 8 and winning 17-over the Mets. On Monday the Jets took a lead in the first inning and added two in the second. But the Cubs put together four runs in the second and another in the third to take a 3 lead. They added two in the fourth, and one in the fifth for their eight points. But the Jets rallied to score one, three and two in the fourth, fifth an Fixth to win 8. Brandon Payne, Brett Myers and Barry Myers combined on the mound for the Jets with Brett and Barry behind the plate. Craig Hollings-hea- d and Robby Kelsey pitched for the Cubs and Robby was the catcher. Tuesday, June 12 United Way scored in every inning but the third to take a 15-- 8 win over the Bees on home runs by Travis Seifers and Brian Whiting. The Bees unloaded for six big runs in the third which held up until the bottom of the sixth. But United Way scored nine runs in the fifth and sixth to win. Pitching for U.W. was Travis Seifers and Branden Griffiths. Eric Barnes and Travis were behind the plate. United Way got a big win Thursday, June 14, with a 6 win over the Jets, with Travis Seifers and Eric Barnes doing the pitching and Travis hitting two home runs, in the first and fifth innings. Travis and Eric switched off behind the plate. Branden Payne, Brett Myers and The Beaver Lodge with wins over Cache Valley and Ponderosaextend-e- d its lead over the other teams in Beaver Little League action last week. Murdocks also picked up two wins and Cache Valley one. Tuesday, June 12, the Lions with 10 big runs in the fourth and six in the fifth slopped Lees with a 17-- 4 loss. They also scored one in the third. Lees took the lead with two runs in the first inning which held up until the Lions big fourth inning. They also scored two in the fifth. Shane Osborn pitched for the Lions and Chris Lee and Jimmie Pender were on the mound for Lees. win 1 Beaver Lodge took a from Cache Valley with a big 20 run fifth inning in the second game Tuesday. The lodge scored in every inning except the sixth, and scored their 34 points without a homerun, batting around four times in the fifth. Cache Valley pretty well held their own until the big fifth inning, scoring two in the first, second and fifth and five in the fourth for their eleven points.
