Soderquist came to Vernal from Montrose, Colorado in 1908. He married Marie Wiest May 14, 1918. He is the father of three children: Dwain Soderquist, Elaine Rich and Lorna Mayberry, all of Vernal and has nine 13 great grand grandchildren, children and two great great grandchildren. 8 p . Soderquist has been a farmer, cattleman, dairyman, miner, electrician, and carpenter. He supervised the building of Oaks Park Reservoir and served on the Board of Directors of Moon Lake Electric for four years. He also served on the Board of Directors of Rock Point Canal for 12 years. CARL A. SODERQUIST will be 90 on Nov. 13. He is an avid sportsman and served as a scoutmaster for a number of years. Active in the LDS Church, he is a high priest in the Vernal 4th Ward and has held many positions within the church. He and his late wife served a stake mission for two years in Jensen, Utah. All friends and relatives are in- vited to attend his birthday open house. The family requests no gifts, please.
