Frost Jensen resident Frost service held Monday Joe Ferd Frost, age dies Randlett died Oct. 31, 1985 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident g near the border. He was bom Dec. 19, 1937 in Patt, Colo, to Tim Fount and Hazel Virginia Mort Frost. He married Lucille Linn Karney Feb. 22, 1958 in LaJunta, Colo. A farmer and rancher, he used to be an avid rodeo contestant, and was a director of the Utah High School Rodeo Association and was an advisor for the Uintah Basin High School Rodeo Club in Vernal. He was a past director of the Ouray Park Irrigation Co. and a director and former president of the Little Sandy Grazing Association in Wyoming. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed by them and all who knew him. Survived by his wife, Lucille of and daughter, Randlett; Jesse and Mary Linn Blanchard of Lapoint; a son, Joe Shane Frost, attending USU in Logan and a grandson, Kristopher Jesse Blanchard; mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jones of Texas; brothers and sisters, NimiLee Bechtle of Tucson, Ariz., B. T. Frost of Susanville, Calif., Clyde Frost of Lane, Okla., Mrs. Steve (Audrey) Bensen of Flagler, Colo., Jim Frost of Randlett and a half brother, Alan Jones of Texas. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 4, at the Lapoint LDS Chapel. 47, of son-in-la- was Burial Cemetery. in Montgomery dies at age 88 Ezra Wilkins the Lapoint Duchesne woman injured in rollover A Duchesne City woman was in- jured when the pickup truck she was driving rolled over on U.S. Highway 40 near the Ouray turn off Saturday at approximately 8:15 p.m. Roxie Scoggins, 38, was eastbound on Highway 40 approximately one mile from the 8 Junction when the accident occurred. Scoggins vehicle apparently went off the right side of the road and she over corrected when bringing the vehicle back on the road causing the truck to turn 180 degrees and roll twice before coming to a stop. U-8- Scoggins was ejected from the vehicle during the accident. The accident was discovered by a passing motorist. Officers from the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BLA) were the first law enforcement officers to arrive at the scene. Scoggins was unconscious when officers arrived. She was transported by the Ute Tribe ambulance to Ashley Valley Medical Center and was later transferred to Salt Lake City. Scoggins is in serious but stable condition. The accident was investigated by the Utah Highway Patrol. in accident Ezra Vaughn Wilkins, age 59, of Jensen, died Oct. 31, 1985 in an automobile accident south of Green River, Wyo. He was born Oct. 26, 1926 in Jensen a son of Ezra Harlan and Edna Gilroy Wilkins. He married Velma Kimball Dec. 21, 1946 in Jensen. He was a rancher and livestock brand inspector. He was an elder in the Jensen 2nd Ward, brand inspector for Uintah County, member of the Vernal Racing Association, member of the Vernal Cattlemens, charter member of the Vernal Elks Lodge, member of the Vernal Roping Club. Farmer and rancher for the past 40 years. Former member of the Uintah County Search and Rescue. He enjoyed hunting, roping and horse racing. He loved people and was a friend to all. He will be greatly missed by many who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers and a stepfather, Lewis Littleton. He is survived by his wife of Jensen; sons, Harlan Ray Wilkins, Clark K. Wilkins, Kelly Wilkins and Rodney Vaughn Wilkins all of his Jensen; five grandchildren; mother, Edna W. Littleton of Vernal; brothers and sisters, Ervin L. Wilkins of Jensen; Gale G. Wilkins of Randlett, Mrs. Jack (Wilma) McArthur of Lewiston, Idaho and Mrs. Lee (Alberta) Wardle of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were Monday at the Jensen Ward Chapel. Creg Wilkins gave the family prayer. The service was conducted by Bishop Fran Richins. Dave Jolley gave the invocation. After remarks by Bishop Fran Richins, Ron and Lana Walker sang, These Hardworking Hands. Woodey Searje spoke. Doug Murphy and Ron Walker recited a poem, Cowboy Prayer. Byron Tolman spoke. Daun White and Dorothy Luck sang Whispering Pines. Sheldon Galley gave the benediction. Prelude and postlude music was by Mary John Russell Montgomery, 88, died Nov. 4, 1985 at the Ashley Valley Medical Center. ; Mr. Montgomery was born Oct. 19, 1897 in Meeker, Colo. He was the third of five children born to Henry Clay and Sophia Francis Burkenbine Montgomery. His early years were spent helping his father support the family. These years were filled with many hardships and hard work which were to mold him into a fiercely independent, hard working man who deeply loved his family and his fellowman. He grew up in Saratoga, Wyo. where he married Anna Hunter. To this marriage was born two children, Clinton and Jean. This marriage ended in divorce. In 1927 he married Edith Anderson in Elko, Nev. Again there were hard times. Because of the depression, there was no work in California. He moved his young family back to Wyoming. He supported his family by working for ranchers and trapping coyotes on the Red Desert. His trapping developed into a hide and fur business which became his lifelong occupation. To the second marriage was born nine children, John, James Gordon, Marilyn, Marjorie, Thomas Larry, Robert Terry, Judy, Dennis Alan and Janice. Nov. 2, at Mr. Garcia was born April 30, 1955 in Espanola, N.M., a son of Reynaldo G. and Juanita (Jennie) Montano Born June 15, 1957 in Vernal to Or-vR. and Elaine Oliver Oaks. He married Kimberly George April 4, 1981 in Vernal. Garcia. He was a construction worker and mechanic. He was member of the LDS Church. He loved to hunt and fish, boat, raft and enjoyed riding a motorcycle. He served in the U S Army and received his degree in diesel mechanics while in the service. Survived by his wife of Vernal, two sons and two daughters, Julie, Juston, Jason and Kari all of Vernal ; parents of Vernal; brother and sister, Mrs. Gene (Eileen) Harvey of Tridell, Mrs. Jack (Linda) Carford of Evanston, Wyo. and Mrs Rusty (Charlene) McBride of Vernal; Raymond D. Oaks of Vernal and Mrs. Jim (Gloria) Allen of Jensen. He was an oil field worker for Colorado Well Service. (Sheree) Offutt, Bret L. Massey and Cully L. Massey all of Vernal. Funeral services were Tuesday in the Vernal 3rd Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. He was active in community affairs serving as a city councilman, worked on Vernals first municipal swimming pool and the county hospital. He was a strong supporter of the Shiners, Boys Town and other charities. He served for many years on the board of directors for the Bank of Vernal, Hotel Vernal, and Zions Bank. He deeply grieved the death of his daughter in 1953 and his wife in 1978. His last years of life were spent enjoying his family.
