Show 3 Murray City Fastpitch League The season opened Monday in the Murray City Fastpitch League with the returning Page Brake and Intermountain Mobile Services both registering wins along with a strong Appliance Services squad. . Western Hills Bambino League KEARNS. Jason Szwedko enjoyed a productive week as his Major Pirates won a pair of games in the Western Hills Bambino League. The Pirates ripped the Tigers with Szwedko hitting a triple, then he struck out 12 of the 19 batters he faced in a 17-- 1 win over the Red Sox. The Tigers also fell to the Orioles 13-- 6 and to the Yankees 1 despite a three-ru- n homer by Shane Bantock. Eric Moore and Leo Salazar had triples for the Yankees. The Orioles smashed the Red Sox 24-- 1 with Nolan Skiby striking out eight and C. Passa belting a triple. In minor action the Red Sox defeated the Yanks as Brandon Hayden and Danial Freer stroked triples. T. Jennings and D. Jones hit and B. Brown tripled as the Yankees outlasted the Brewers 25-2- In peewee play the Braves beat the Yankees 13-- 3 with R. Bergener circling the bases on an infield hit. The Cubs fell to the Yankees The Red Sox nipped the Cards on 13-- 8-- 7 Mike Tyes roundtripper. The 5 Braves defeated the Padres with C. Guymon belted a triple for the Braves. The Astros downed the Cubs 15-The Orioles nipped the Dodgers 6 and the Red Sox beat the 10-- 19-1- three-bagger- 7-- As MURRAY. Appliance Services nipped in a thriller, Chucks Chevron 4 scoring four of the runs in the first Inning and winning on a fourth inning run scored by Joe Tarver who tripled in the fourth.
