WEST VALLEY CITY NOTICE OF INTENTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 6th day of March, 1986, the City Council of West Valley City, Salt Lake County, Utah, adopted a Reso- ESTIMATED COST OF IMPROVEMENTS lution, declaring its intention to create a special improvement district to be known as "West Valley City, Utah, Special Improvement District 2." It is the intention of the municipality to operate street lights within said Special Improvement District and to levy special taxes as provided in Chapter 16, Title 10, Utah Code Annotated, 1953 as amended, on the real estate lying within said District for the benefit of which such taxes are to be expended in the operation of such street lights. DESCRIPTION DISTRICT The estimated annual cost to operate the street lights In said proposed Special Im- provement District 2, as estimated by the City Engineer, will be approximately $585.00 1795.00 per year dependent upon the option selected as described above, which shall be paid by a special tax to be levied against the lots described above on a per lot basis, those lots being the property which may be effected or specifically benefitted by such street lights. The estimated cost to be assessed against the properties within said District will be approximately $35.00 $45.00 per year per lot. The annual costs of operation and the resulting assessment levied from said costs are based upon rates charged by Utah Power & Light, as controlled by the Public Service Commission. Assessments may, therefore, increase or decrease from their initial level as rates charged by Utah Power & Light, as controlled by the Public Service Commission, vary. OF The proposed Special Improvement District is com- prised of those lots located in the Colony West No. 13 Subdivision, adjacent to Lemon-woo- d Circle, and those comer lots located in the Colony West No. 13 Subdivision, adjacent to the intersection of Woodgrove Drive and 4620 South. The purpose of the assessment and levy is to pay those costs of operation of the street lights in the special improvement district which the municipality will not assume and pay. As stated, the method of assessment shall be on a per lot basis for all real property located with the district. Whether or not said assessment will be billed semiannually will be determined at or after the time of the public meeting described below.
