Vacation Bible school will begin Monday and run through Aug. 2 at Atonement Lutheran church, 2040 W. 3500 South, with classes for children and adults. Sessions will be held in the evening for the first time, explained a spokesman, so that parents who work may have the opportunity to bring their children and to offer adults a chance to participate. Classes will be held nightly from 6:30 to 8:30. Children in third through sixth grade are being invited to participate. The theme for the childrens school is Gods People Pray. The children will learn about prayer, Gods love and goodness and will participate in Bible study, stories, art, music and worship. The program offers a unique learning opportunity for children and is designed to provide a learner-centered and happy experience, the spokesman said.
