A major risk factor and contributor to this mortality is hypertension (high blood pressure), which leads to heart disease, kidney disease and strokes if left untreated, according to health officials. h While it is estimated that one-fift- of all adult Americans have high blood pressure, most are completely unaware because there are no specific symptoms. The only sure way to find out is to have a blood pressure check by someone trained to take a blood pressure reading. In this area the service is available through Salt Lake health clinics located in the Magna Community Council Center, City-Coun- ty Staffed by trained professionals, the blood pressure clinic is offered every Friday from 3 to 4 p.m. An appointment is not necessary, but there is a $1 charge for the service. We work in the yard together; he mows the lawns, I plant the flowers and we both enjoy it, both the working togeher and the results. We can always find a shady spot to sit and relax.
