During the first lunch at 11:15 a.m., a forum will be held. Mayor Maloney and representatives of the different departments will speak about city government and Granger highs involvement. About 2,000 entries are expected in the 24th annual State High School Art Exhibit. Entries will be hung on Monday and judges are expected to make their decisions the following day, according to a State Board of Education spokesman. High school seniors vying for university scholarships are allowed to enter five pieces as part of their senior portfolio, the spokesman noted. All others will be limited to one entry. Several activities are planned for March 22 in conjunction with the exhibit. During the day, senior art students will be able to discuss their work with their peers and representatives from area colleges and universities. West Valley Are Award Nominees SALT LAKE. The Granite School District and West Valley City are among 11 nominees for state energy efficiency awards. Gov. Scott Matheson will present the awards March 17 at the second annual Community Energy Management Conference at Brigham Young University. Award nominations were based on several factors, including community involvement, educational programs, introduction of innovative energy systems and actual BTU (British thermal unit) savings, said Maggie Wilde of the State Department of Natural Resources and Energy.
