MICKELSEN FARMINGTON The Davis County Commission Thursday authorized a $42,000 lease agreement between the county surveyors office and the Wang Computer Co. for the use of a in surveying, engineering and flood control work. ACCORDING TO County Surveyor Glenn Austin, the lease will allow several more departments to tie into the county record-keepin- g system and will allow him access to the state computer system as micro-process- or well. The leases are traditionally handled on a five year basis, he told commissioners. At the end of the five year period, leasors have the option of purchasing the equipment they have used. HOWEVER, BECAUSE county officials cannot commit themselves for five years, Mr. Austin said there is a special clause in the contract for government entities. The clause allows the county to cancel its lease at any time.
