He was reared in Layton and attended Layton Elemen- FUNERAL SERYICES were held Feb. 4 in the Lindquist and Sons Kaysville Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Norman Waite of the Layton 26th Ward officiating. The family prayer was given by Doug Huff; prelude and postlude music by 1949. He spent his early life in St. George, Ut. and Pioche, Nev. He had lived in Layton the past 25 years. He attended high school in St. George and attended Dixie College and HE HAD been a building contractor in the Layton area for 20 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and a member of the Layton 26th Ward. A verteran tary School. He graduated from Layton High School. Interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Maggie B. Caldwell Dies In Colorado Relatives in Kaysville were notified of the death of Maggie Ball Caldwell. County schools. She married Merle P. Caldwell on Sept. 22, 1930. are her husband of Denver, Colo., and two sons, Dale Caldwell of SURVIVING MRS. CALDWELL, 79, of Denver, Colo., died Feb. 3, 1982 in the hospital in Denver, Colo. She was born Nov. 2, 1902 in Kaysville, the daughter of James and Annie Maylin Ball. Both of their daughters broke a limb. Dana broke her arm while at Davis Basz-cyns- ki High School and her sister Erin broke her leg on the way to school. Mrs. Marjorie Thatcher hosted a family dinner on Jan. 3 1 to celebrate the birthdays of the members of her family who had birthdays during the month of January. They honored Terry Thatcher, Monica Hubrich, Heather Thatcher, Laurie Michelle Stone and Kristen Olsen. Families attending were Mr. and Mrs. Terry Thatcher of Holladay; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stone of Layton; Mr. and Mrs. Jan M. Olsen of Pleasant Grove and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hubrich of Bennion. Mrs. Marjorie Thatcher took three of her grandchildren, Kristen Olsen, Douglas Stone and Heather Thatcher to the ballet of Billy The Kid playing at the BYU Center in Provo. After lunch they visited with a greataunt, Mrs. Lillian Thayer in Orem where she related stories of her early childhood in England. The occasion was to cle- brate the three grandchildrens birthdays. Mr. and Mrs. J. Michael Stone are announcing the birth of their daughter, Laura Michelle, bom to them Jan. 17 at the University Hospital in Salt Lake City. She weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. Mrs. Stone is the former Eileen Thatcher of Kaysw ville. i.., At home to welcome the new one are Douglas, Jennifer, Derek, Katrina and Hayley. Grandparents are Mrs. Marjorie Thatcher, Kaysville, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Stone, Clearfield. Mrs. Martha Stone of Salt Lake City is the greatgrandmother. Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Jones was held Jan. 23 in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Jones was the mother of Mrs. Leona K. Clawson and made her home in Kaysville with her daughter from 1976.
