(ret.) and Mrs. Russell Massey entertained at a dinner Friday evening in honor of a niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Evin Barlowe of Layton. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Manrt ning returned from a two weeks stay in Jempe, Ariz. where they visited with her sis- ter, Mrs. Alice Foote and family. Bishop and Mrs. L.D. grandmother, Mrs. Lena Hatch. Floyd Christiansen of Fruit Heights has been confined to the Davis North Hospital in Layton suffering from a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Johnson spent the weekend in Idaho Falls, Ida. with their son and family, Dr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson. The occasion was the baptism and confirmation of their grandson, Matthew Adams Johnson. Otto and Cora Green Seifert returned from a 12 day tour of the Hawaiian Islands. They visited various islands and the LDS Temple. Stanley D. Tebbs and son, Douglas Tebbs of Bountiful, and daughter, Janet Adams of Kaysville, all attended the funeral of a friend, Mrs. Verda Cooper, in Panguitch on Jan. 27. R.W. Benton is convalescing at his home after surgery in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lucile B. Sheffields grandson, Elder Jay Kunz, returned home Jan. 26 from Frankfurt, Germany where he served his mission. His pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Kunz, flew to Germany to meet him. They toured Europe together before returning home. Pres, and Mrs. Ned B. Roueche, Bishop and Mrs. Beck K. Sheffield and Dr. and Mrs. Sherman B. Sheffield were also at the airport to greet them on their return. Christopher Watkins, 13, and his brother, Joshua 8, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Watkins of Kaysville, were selected from a large group of children for parts in the U. of U. production of Oliver that will play from Feb. 17 to March 6 at the Pioneer Memorial Theater in Salt Lake City. They are the grandsons of Mr. and Mrs. Roy W. Simmons of Kaysville. Bishop and Mrs. Farrell Opens Office Medicine and Surgery. The hospital serves a large volume Benson and children attended the funeral of his mother, Florence Benson, held in Rexburg, Ida. on Jan. 28. Mrs. Benson died on Jan. 25. She was buried in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in SLC. His father, Max Benson, has been staying with them for a few days but has now returned to his home in Rexburg. Mrs. Elizabeth Simmons of Kaysville and her sister, Mrs. Oma Wilcox of Layton, returned home from Nauvoo, 111. where they spent the past weeks on a church assignment for the LDS Relief Society. Mrs. Lucile B. Sheffield, Pres, and Mrs. Ned B. Roueche, Dr. and Mrs. Sherman B. Sheffield, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Wells and their families attended the homecoming of Elder Jay Kunz on Jan. 31 in Provo. Elder Kunz recently returned from serving his mission in Germay. His parents, Dr. and Mrs. Phillip R. Kunz, entertained at a family gathering after the meeting for relatives and friends. Mrs. Goldie Ball received word Thursday that her sister-in-laMrs. Maggie Ball Cald- well of Denver, Colo., died Feb. 3 in a Denver Hospital of a sudden illness.
