| Show E W DUNN MADE vice PRESIDENT at the first annual meeting ot of thi th board chai J ot of governors of the utah development elop ment league held in in tho the commercial club rooms at salt lake city on Frfd friday ay of last week sir E W dunn president of the doi bos elder commercial club of this city was elected second vice vicc for the ensuing year at the same meeting the state was divided into districts with a 1 member ot of the board of governors or an active league member in charge of each for purpose ol of creating a greater enthusiasm in the work ot of the league ank and educating the people in the necessity of boosting together for tho the ing of the state mr dunn was given charge of box bos elder county A communication was read from the officials ot of the union pacific railroad company tendering the league tho the use of their hall and sterl for the purpose of giving lectures at the chicago land show which will be hold held next week tho the offer was accepted and tho the board decided to arrange with prot prof J C Ilo hogensen gensen of the agricultural college to give daily lectures lecture illustrating with colored slides prof L A was also designated as ono one ol of tho the lecturers ti lie 0 having proffered his services which were accepted the matter of a state highway was considered a communication having been received from the commercial club of the green rivet vi valley ahey stating that the route from denver to salt lake city could bo be put sn in first class condition with tho the expenditure of a little money other matters of importance with respect to tho the development of the state were discussed and the board appointed a press press com committee which will work in connection with the longue league in advertising tho the states resources |
