Show December 2001 Carbon and Emery County Sporte Guide 4 Carbon High men will have strong season It's going to Ih a very interesting year for the boys basketball team at Carbon High. The team lost some key players from last year, but have a good nueleus back and some improved younger players should make a bigdiffer-ene- e in a team that missed the playoffs last season. The league is going to be tough, says head basketball coach Ted Bianco. With the region changing and Lehi moving in they look like the power to beat. Bight now they are ranked in the top five in the state. Lehi is a very tall and tough team, but Emery will also field a good team this year. Last years team finished high in the state tournament, and Bianco feels that r) 0 PDR!! with those returning they should be very good again. However, he also feels his team will be right there too. Big man Jan Jorgensen has been hating to handle the center duties a great deal since King hurt his hand. His usual position has been at forward, but he can play vert' well with his back to the bas- year where these players carry the school to the state tournament.
