Utah Tuesday December 25,2001 Emery High automotive students above average Eleven Emery High students who are enrolled in the Southeast Utah Applied College of Technology Automotive Technology program traveled to Weber State College on Dec. 6 to compete in the first of two portions of an automotive technology competition. ' ' Students under the direction of Mike Kava had one hour to complete a 50 question test that covered the subjects of electrical, brakes, engine performance and front end alignments. More than 400 students from 32 Utah high schools, three Utah advanced technical colleges and six out of state high schools took the exam. The top scores earned the right for the top 11 schools to go back to Weber State College in January to compete in a hands on event. Emery High student T. J.
