Only two matters of business were brought up for council action. Ranch at the head of Monte Cristo, Aug. 13, is recovering at his Kaysville home. Sunset Council Sets Fees For Use Of Parks West. The reason for the waiver is that the state road department has no definite designs for SR 193 in this area. Council approval on the lien waiver was unanimous. By DONETA GATHERUM SUNSET - A fee schedule for the use of Sunset City Park softball diamonds and other ball facilities was approved last Tuesday evening at the Sunset City Council meeting. -- STARTING IMMEDIATELY there will be a $25 charge for the use of softball diamonds when the city has to prepare the diamonds and when lights are needed. A $25 deposit will be charged to people wishing to use the public address system and an additional $10 fee for using the P.A. system will be charged. The $25 deposit is refundable if the equipment is returned in good condition. The only group exempt from paying city-own- the fees are the leagues. Mel Wood runs the city tournaments and fees are charged to those who participate. This is a program. self-sustaini- CLIFFORD Spendlove, the councilman responsible for the parks and recreation department, will study the costs of setting up the fields for the AYSO Soccer program to see if the city needs to charge this organization for using city parks and facilities. A public hearing will be held at the next city council meeting on Sept. 21 to approve or veto proposed zoning ordinance changes and revisions. According to City Attorney Steven Bailey, the changes are necessary to bring the zoning ordinances in conformance with the Sunset City Master Plan intend. f. The lot for the proposed is connected to the sewer and water system. Mr. Sales moved his mobile home onto the lot so he could work landscaping his property and maintaining his rental units. Although the mayor and city council were sympathetic to Mr. Sales situation, they had to require the removal of his trailer because its presence was in violation of the city ordinances. well-kep- AFTER SEVERAL months of non- conformity, the Hi-H- Cafe and Lounge owners have finally brought their building up to the standards required by the Sunset fire code. According to Fire Chief Wallace the electrical problems have been fixed and the outside work has been done. There is still a problem with a leaky roof but this is not a fire danger. Mayor Norman Sant said he would work with the cafe owners and the county health department to get the roof work done. UPON COMPLETION of the work needed to bring the building up to fire code standards, the Hi Hat Cafe owners were issued a business license. Fire Chief Wallace referred four Sunset City property owners names to the city attorney for prosecution in cases of hazardous weeds. THE COUNCIL discussed fire hazards connected with wood piles that are near property lines, homes and other structures. Engineers Schedule Meeting Watch For Diet Center Opening in kaysville The Ogden Chapter of the Society of Logistics Engineers (SOLE) will begin its semiannual logistics seminar program on Sept. 1. As in the past the seminar will align with the SOLE Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) examination schedule. THE INTENSIVE eleven-wee- k program is designed to assist practicing logisticians to prepare for the CPL examination to be given on Nov. 13. However, the seminar is open to anyone with interest in the field of logistics or subject matter covered in the seminar.
