Identified factors responsible for these causes were increased consumer demands, advanced technology, inflation, government intervention and regul- ations, lack of physician awareness, lack of patient awareness, insurance company policies and medical liability problems. Physicians and administrators of both hospitals agreed that some of the best possible solutions to these problems in- clude the following: 1.
