He would like to become a naval navigator and fly for his obligated time, then make a decision about remaining in the Navy as a career. After graduation from the Academy, Chad will be commissioned as an ensign. He will leave for Maryland on July 6, to attend boot camp. Classes will begin at the Academy in September. Cadets at the Academy are allowed one month of leave during the summer and three weeks at Christmas. The remainder of the summer is spent in training cruises on ships, or in specialized training in submarines, nuclear power, or aviation. Chad hopes to be accepted into graduate school after becoming an ensign and before his first tour of duty. It is then that he may be able to move even closer to his goal of becoming Bountifuls first astronaut. CLEARFIELD 329 NORTH 6 773-947- 0 t Y Vi MAIN teas |
