Gibbons states that the filing deadline for property tax exemp-- tions for disabled veterans and widows of disabled veterans, and the blind and widows of the blind is May 1. Applications can be picked up in room 115 of the Davis County Courthouse. The state circuit breaker and county indigent applications for property tax reductions have been received by the auditing office and are due by July 1. Applicants must be 65 years or older with an income of $8,000 or less if married, and $7,500 if single. Persons under age 65 can apply with proof of a medical disability. The abatements on the property tax would be from $25 to $300 depending on the applicants income. Applicants must have lived at his or her present address for the last 12 months to qualify.
