| Show Y if N I 1 A meeting the regular monthly meeting of the young mens alens improvement associations of this stake was held last evening in the fourteenth ward assembly rooms counselor geo C lambert presiding the music for the occasion was furnished by toe the ninth ward choir gader ccarles W stayner delivered an address upon the duties of officers of mutual improvement associations that was replete with such timely suggestions and practical advice as his hid long experience in presiding over the twentieth ward association and extensive le 4 ive opportunities for observation b bad ad qualified him to offer brother oliver hodgson of the same association followed with an interesting lecture upon astronomy in which he answered the questions what is the nature ot of the moon and what reasons are there for bel believing leving that it is without lite lilea counselor geo C lambert followed with a lew few remarks upon the manner of conducting exercises in association meetings during g which he be advocated general subjects to be handled bandied in consecutive order in all the meetings reading circles at homes of members the practice of responding to calling of roll with quotations ife etc it was an interest interesting hig ln meeting eting and the attendance was fair donsi considering dering the severity of the weather the next monthly meeting will be held at the same place on the evening of feb upon which occasion it is expected that the seventh ward choir will furnish the music and the eighth ward improvement association a I 1 brief pro gramme |
