| Show an accident yesterday morning a U C P passenger train tran was passing aloiv the track to girarde the depot offices from the north la in this city As the baggage and mail coze were passing the tracks which conie together toge with the C P track at atiat point and forma form a cows foot an engine which was running on the other track and which was being temporarily managed by its fireman fl eman became to bystanders it se seemed seamed emed as if the lococo ive sub jumped forward as if enraged be that as it may the sudden move ant has not been explained but the damage was accomplished the engine me struck one of the cars and had its steam chist chest knocked in and then proceeded to strike the other car it tilted both cars up on oa their sides and in ia that position both bodies stopped ped the occupants of the cars were shaken up and badly frightened but no one WAS hurt one of the cars ws some kviat badly damaged having its plat tern splintered to a considerable consider aole ex ogden standard jan 17 |
