Registration for three Fall quarter classes can be completed at the first class session, while arrangements for an administrative internship are to be arranged on an individual basis, according to James M. Miller, dean of the SUSC School of Education. Education 666: Research for Classroom Teachers, starts Sept. 30 in Cedar. Miller is the instructor for the three-cred- it graduate class that is scheduled Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Old Main 309. Elementary and Secondary Education 615: Foundations of Curriculum, starts Oct.1 at 5 p.m. in room 205 of the Dixie Middle School. Education 654: Organization and Control, starts Oct. 2 in Cedar City, also scheduled at 6 p.m. in Old Main 309. The course is Iron County School instructor for the three-cred- it Clair Morris. J. Superintendent Master's program participants can earn yet another three credits for Elementary and Secondary Education 633, an administrative internship and onsite experience with a principal or school administrator. Business 292 Women: The New Entrepreneurs, started Tuesday (Sept. 30 ). Taught by Harry Swanson, director of the it Utah Small Business Development Center at SUSC, the course deals with characteristics of the entrepreneur, and is a resource class on the how, why, when, what, and where of starting a business. Class will be held Tuesdays from 2 to 3 p.m. in Business 108. Communication 292 Gender and Communication, starts Oct. 1, taught by SUSC Forensic Director Suzanne Larson. The purpose of the class, she said, is to synthesize recent behavioral research examining the differences in communication patterns between men and women. Available for two credits, 'held Wednesdays from 3 to 4:35 p.m. in Business 102. Biology 292 Biomedical Advances in Human Affairs, starts Oct. 2, scheduled Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m. in Science 120. Dr. Joann S. Bowns, an associate professor of zoology, will discuss recent biomedical advances and the biological, social and psychological aspects of aging, then will lead the class in an exploration of the moral, ethical and biological values of the new technologies. The class is available for one SUSC credit. The Women's Resource Committee will sponsor six additional classes winter and fall quarters.
