Nelson Holmgren He married Betty Jane Wilkie Nov 5 1943 at Fort Ord Calif He was reared in the Bear River area and was educated in Bear River High School and attended Utah State University He had lived in Bear River City and Garland before moving to Tremonton in 1945 He was a farmer and a rancher and owned and operated a farm in Tremonton He was a director of the Federal Land Bank for 15 years a member of the Farmers Grain for 15 years and organized the Bear River Canal Co He was a member of the Signi Chi Fraternity and the Eagles Lodge He was an elder in the Tremonton 3rd LDS Ward He served as a First Sergeant in the 222nd Artillery in General George Patton’s Third Army Surviving are his wife of Tremonton one son Doug W Holmgren Tremonton three daughters Mrs Richard (Melody) Anderson Liberty Mrs Julie Holmgren Billings Mont Mrs Craig (Patti) Bolton Tremonton four grandchildren and one brother EJ Holmgren Tremonton Funeral services will be held Monday at 12 noon at the Tremonton South Stake He was married to Theresa White Jan 7 man at the Defense Depot tended Weber State College for three years He was a member of the Layton 18th LDS Ward He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was wounded twice in the line of duty He received two Purple Heart Awards He is survived by his wife of Layton two daughters Angie Flint and Brooke Flint both of Layton his father of an accountant and had lived in Los Angeles and Phoenix prior to moving to North Ogden He attended Woodbury the daughter of George Albert and Lucy Sanders Hess She was married to Bill McClurg on Nov 16 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple He died April 19 K joined the choir at the age of 13 and was active in the choir until her illness prevented She had also served in various positions in the Primary MIA and Relief Society She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers where she served as first and n until 1978 and was second active until the time of her death She was a member of the Junior Literary Club of Farmington She graduated from Davis High School and attended Brigham Young University and Stevens Henager Business College She also attended the McCune School of vice-captai- Music
