Carolina on work Bud Knudsen Bud Lee Knudsen left Salt Lake City by plan Monday for Burlington, N.C., to audit the Burlington mills in the interest of Thiokol. He returned Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Clark of Huntington, and Mrs. Clarks parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McWilliams of Fresno, Calif., were Sunday dinner guests of Jeffs parents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Clark. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ora H. John. Raymond Hall of Cedar City, visited Wednesday and Thursday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall. He also visited in Logan with his inlaws, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Castleton. Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley and Arthur L. Gibbs were the guests of Bishop and Mrs. Theo Coombs of Tremonton Tuesday evening when they were taken to the LDS temple in Ogden where they were joined by Dr. and Mrs. Max Conley of Bountiful and enjoyed a session together. From there the group was dinner guests of the Coombs at Maddox Ranch House. Speak Here Chris Perry of Logan and Julee Hawks were the speakers at sacrament meeting here Sunday evening. Mrs. Esther John returned to her home Thursday from Yuma, Ariz., where she accompanied her granddaughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Kennard Hales of Tremonton there where they attended funeral services for Walt Satyrek, husband of Kay John Satyrek. Mr. and Mrs. Skip Chandler and daughter, Kimberly of Salt Lake City brought Mr. and Mrs. Sharrell Williams to their home in Malad from the Veterans and LDS hospitals Saturday. Mrs. Chandlers mother, Mrs. E. Wynn John spent that night with Mr. and Mrs. Williams as they are both very ill. Mr. and Mrs. Josh Hawks and daughter, Julee spent Saturday in Rexburg where they visited with their son and daughter-in-law- , Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Hawks and family. J. D. has been very ill following surgery last week but his condition is improving. Kent Thomas of Provo spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Thomas. Kent is a student at BYU and teaches at LTM. , Entertain Friends Mr. and Mrs. C. A. (Bud) Hall of Hopkinsville, Ky., are the house guests of Mr. Hall's and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Win. L. Gibbs this week. Mrs. Thelma D. Gibbs and her sister, Mrs. Wm. H. Rutter of Malad were Logan visitors Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris and granddaughters, Lisa Cobia and Stephanie Budge of Logan spent Friday and Saturday at their summer home in Liberty. Mrs. James E. John spent several days this week visiting in Perry with her and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Nelson and family. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hoskins and son Todd of Ogden and Mrs. Marilda K. Flint of Clearfield. Mrs. Leona Williams and Mrs. Kay Williams of Malad, Marie Goodey of Clarkston and Ila Mae John visited Thursday at the Veterans hospital with Sharrell Williams and at the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City with Mrs. Sharrell Williams. Mrs, Maurice Thomas and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins went to Clearfield Wednesday where they took Mrs. Laura K. Gibbs and Mrs. Marilda K. Flint to Salt Lake City where they visited an elderly relative, Mrs. Ora West. Mrs. Gibbs returned to her home after visiting with her week. Mr. and Mrs. Loyal G. Harris returned Sunday night from a weeks vacation trip to Colo- rado. They visited with their and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Ray Sessions and family at Boulder City, Colo., spent a few days at Brekenridge ski resort, Denver, Esteas and Rocky Mountain National parks. They report a very enjoyable trip. Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Flint and family of West Point visited with Mr. and Mrs. VarC Flint and sons and enjoyed lunch in the canyon Sunday. She also is not allowed to wear panty hose to school or lipstick and eye shadow anywhere. Instead of the classroom full of painted dolls with skirts barely cbvering, I discovered a room full of noisy, , active, giggling girls all without the grown up accessories. Kids from all over the neighborhood congregate when they see that cut piece of orange silk fluttering in the breeze like a flag. After listening to them laugh and giggle and sometimes fight all last Saturday, it did my heart good to over hear the little fellow from the trampoline family say, Daddy, why cant we have fun things like them? DUP Opens Year The Willow Creek Camp of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held its opening meeting Friday, Sept. 17, at the home of Irene Stauffer. Sandy Peck'con-ducte- d the meeting. Lillian Kunzler gave the opening prayer. Grace Keyes reported the summer activities. The camp was saddened by the death of national president Kath B. Carter. Arlene Kunzler gave the history and Sand Peck gave the leeson on centennial activities in Utah. Helen Nebeker won the book entitled Our Pioneer Heritage. Irene Stauffer and May Woodland served a delicious dessert. Mary Robinson is here for a weeks visit with her daughter Sandy Peck. Her home is in Paragonah. Debbie and Fred Barker had their son Lance Fred Barker blessed Sunday in the First ward Sacrament meeting. Tiny Lance was named by his father. Present at a family dinner to celebrate the event were grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John Baxter from Mantua and Mr. and Mrs. Don Barker from Willard, . In the Third ward, Dodie Black was confirmed by her father Bruce Black. Tiny Scott Kent Lemon was blessed by his grandfather Lowell Lemon. His parents are Kent and Joani Lemon. A family dinner in celebration was held at the Lowell Lemon home with guests incuding Mr. and Mrs. Orvin Lemon and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bradshaw (great grandparents), Lowell, Lenora and Annette, Kent and Joani and their baby Scott Kent, and daughter Robyn, Richard and JoAnn Day and children Suzanne and Theresa, and Richard and Mary Lemon and their new baby Kimberly.
