Show John Brangal Obituaries 1 A. Leron John Brangal, 89, of West Corinne, died at Pioneer memorial Nursing home in Brigham City Monday evening. Sept. 27, 1976, after a short illness. He was born Oct. 15, 1886, at Dauga, Latvia, a son of Hans and Julia Brangal. He married Lena Antnovech on Dec. 29, 1916, in Chicago, 111. He owned and operated a farm and raised stock for the past 62 years. He was a member of the Lutheran church. Survivors include his wife, one son and one daughter, J c i Johnson h Allen Leron Johnsen, 43, Providence, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1976, in a helicopter accident south of Mantua. He was born July 10, 1933, in Leron and Lettie V. Campbell Johnsen. He married Deanne W. Gardner on Aug. 22, 1957, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Clare Alvin J. Smith William J. Francis . Alvin J. Smith 6 Vanderwest Second-Fift- Clare Carl Vanderwest, 59, 466 North Third West, Brigham City, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1976, in Brigham City Community hospital of a heart attack. fre was born Nov. 15, 1916, in Bellaire, Mich., to George and Rose Updyke Vanderwest. He married Mildred Ellen Wolf on May 29, 1941, in Muskegon Heights, Mich. He graduated from Michigan State university in 1943 and was a member of the alumni association. A veteran of World War II, a member of the Christian Reformed church and was employed at Thiokol corporations Wasatch division as a facilities engineer. Survivors include his wife, one son and three daughters, Kurt C. Vanderwest, Burbank, Calif.; Mrs. Guy (Adell) Davis, Jacksonvill, Fla.; Mrs. Gerald (Althea) Brown, Anaheim, Calif.; Mrs. M. C. (Fay) Hansen, Joshua Tree, Calif.; five grandchildren; his parents of four brothers, Michigan; including Harold Vanderwest, Bountiful; two sisters, Muskegon Heights, Mich- Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in Petersen Funeral chapel with Rev. Richard Lawson of the Community Presbyterian church conducting. Friends call at the mortuary prior may to services. He was born May 28, 1891, in Bozeman, Mont., a son of John William and Mary Nielsen He married Anna Woodland on June 28, 1933, in the Logan LDS temple. He had worked for Box Elder County School district as a custodian prior to retiring. Active in the LDS church, he served a western state mission. He had served as bishop of the Albion, Idaho ward and was a high priest group leader and scoutmaster in the Brigham City First ward. He and his wife served a tabernacle mission. He was in the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home branch presidency. .Francis. He married Emma E. Christensen on June 16, 1915, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. She died Jan. He was active in music and athletics at USU and sang in vocal groups throughout Cache valley. He was a member of the Imperial Glee club and Sigma Chi fraternity and was former director of the USU Development fund. He served as a Providence city councilman and district chairman in Bridger-Cach- e district. Boy Scouts of America. He was born Jan. 24, 1911, in Lake Point, Utah, a son of Thomas Henry and Eliza C. Moss Smith. William John Francis, 85, of Perry, died Sunday, Sept. 26, ward and past MIA president. He was high priest group leader in the Providence Second ward at the time of his death. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Perry Ward chapel with Bishop Lynn Reeder officiating. He was born Aug. 19, 1925, in Salt Lake City to William Ronald and Hilda Widerburg Mea- dows. He married Merle Reid on Feb. 18, 1947, in Salt Lake City. He was a graduate of Granite High school, a veteran of World War II and the US Coast Guard, a retired foreman at Hill Air Force base, a member of the LDS church and active in Western Boys Baseball association. Among survivors is a daughter, Mrs. Curtis H. (Karen) Christensen of Bear River City. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday). at 12 noon in Jenkins, Soffe mortuary, 4760 South State, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
