Spending Thursday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Quintin Hess and family were Mr. and Mrs. Tim Hess who have just returned from their honeymoon in Hawaii and Japan and who are now making their home in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss accompanied by Penny and Courtney Moss of Tremonton Mr. and Mrs. Verl Udy home Monday evening fatter spending several days in Portland visiting their and daughter Mr. and Mrs. rDennis Phelps. Mrs. Phelps son-in-la- (Kayla) accompanied them home to spend a few days visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Dick (Ivaloo) Kuisel left Saturday evening for their home in Garden Grove, Calif., after spending a few days visiting Mrs. Kuisel's mother Mrs. Mildred Smith and other relatives in this area. The Kuisels have been on an extensive tour in the eastern states the past two months. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anger attended a wedding reception held in the civic center in Brigham City Friday evening for Wendy Lynn Jorgensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Jorgensen of West Corinne and Douglas Nielsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Larry Nielsen of Brigham City. Visiting Mrs. Rachel Burton for the weekend was her daughter Miss Norma Burton of Salt Lake City. Wednesday evening Mrs. Eleanor Petersen and daughter Cindy and Mrs. Donetta Petersen attended a bedroom-bathrooshower for Miss Susan Sandall held at the home of Mrs. Eleda Vee Stokes in Bothwell. During the evening the guests tied an attractive patchwork design quilt and presented to the bride-elecSusan also received many other attractive and useful gifts. A luncheon was served. Susan will become the bride of Eldon Petersen in rites performed in the Salt Lake Temple Oct. 16. !? A enjoyed pinenut hunting at Stanrod during the week. Mrs. Eleanor Petersen and daughter Cindy, Mrs. Donetta Petersen, Mrs. Betty Jean Petersen, Mrs. Elaine Christoffer-so- n accompanied by Mrs. Carolyn Jensen and daughter Jane of Brigham City attended a family miscellaneous bridal shower for Miss Susan Sandall at the home of Mrs. Eithel Kerr in Tremonton Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Michelle Webb of Salt Lake City was Original bridal games were played followed by dainty light refreshments. The bride-elereceived lovely and useful gifts. Saturday evening Mike Moss, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kent and daughter Colleen attended a party at the home of Mrs. Connie Moss in Tremonton. The occasion was Courtney Moss Fifth birthday anniversary. Light refreshments were served. Courtney received lots of fun gifts. Patient Home Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Smith vYsited their Bart son-in-la- Flint at the Logan hospital Friday evening. Bart underwent surgery during the week. He home returned Saturday accompanied by his wife Mrs. Bart (Laura) Flint. Mrs. Rachel Burton visited her sister Mrs. Octavia Neville in Layton during the week. Wednesday Mrs. Annette Richards, Mrs. Rhoda Welling and Mrs. Elsie Welling spent tthe day jn Ogden. Enroqte home (hey enjoyed dinner at Maddox Ranch House in Perry. Miss Maurine Burton of Laketown spent last weekend visiting her mother Mrs. Rachel -- Burton. Friday Mr. and Mrs. Rex Richards enjoyed a drive through Logan Canyon to see the beautiful fall colors. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mason spent Wednesday and Thursday fishing at Crowther's reservoir near Malad. Eldon Petersen and Cindy Petersen have each enrolled at Utah State university. Three babies were blessed and given names in sacrament meeting Sunday morning. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Welling was blessed by her father and given the name of Megan Welling. Following the meeting a dinner party was held at the Welling home. Mrs. guests inculded Mr.-a-nd Grant Nicholas and daughter Nancy and foster daughter Bar-- ' bara Begaye of Harper Ward, Mrs. Grace Brough and Mrs. Mabel Oyler of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Cook and son Jeremie of Honeyville and Mr. and Mrs. Gale Welling of Fielding. Courtney H. Wood was the name given the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wood who was blessed by his father in sacrament meeting. Attending a dinner party at the Wood home immediately following the meeting were Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Summers and daughter Susan, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Summers and children Matt and Calli of Bothwell, Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Summers and children Billy, Anitra, Dorie, Jeff and Charlie, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Summers of Bothwell, Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Hess of Malad, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wood and son Doug and daughters Dixie, Terry and Cindy, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Wood and son J.J. and Mrs. Ruby Farnsworth of Fielding. Jeff Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Scott, was baptized in the Garland stake house Saturday and was confirmed by his father in sacrament meeting Sunday. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams pnd family Sunday were Mr. and Ms. Earl Gordon of Smithfield. Spending Saturday and Sunday visiting Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mason were Mr. and Mrs. Don Richards of Jackson Hole. Sunday the two couples enjoyed breakfast at a Downey cafe afterwhich they drove to the Teton area to see the flood disaster and on to Palisades. They had dinner in Swans Val- in BC Mrs. Lucille Godfrey has returned home after spending the past two weeks receiving medical care in the Logan hospital. Mrs. Sara Moss spent Wednesday visiting her sister Mrs. Vadis Gilgen m Malad. Richard Thomas of Logan was the guest speaker. Spending Wednesday in Provo visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Nye and their new baby were Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Garn, Mrs. P.R. Peterson and son Jack. Also visiting kt the Nye home was Mrs. F. Leo (Jean Garn) Nye of Issaquah, Wash. She accompanied the Garns and Petersons to the Salt Lake airport where she left Wednesday evening for her home in Washington. Mrs. Florence Garn was hostess to the Garland Bridge club at her home Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Esther Coombs was a special guest. Prizes went to , Mrs. LaVona Carter, Mr., NaVelle Rhodes and Mrs. Fern Huish. A luncheon was enjoyed. Thayne Jones and James E, Hess were hunting in the Beat; Lake area the latter part of the week. Thayne was one of the fortunate ones to have a moose permit this year and proudly brought home a moose. Assisting him in getting the moose home were Duane Jones and Max McNeeley. ley. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Leon Grover and son Lane spent the day in Stone, Idaho visiting Mrs. Grovers parents Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Robbins. Attending Thiokol Family Day at the Thiokol plant Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Forsberg and son Mai and daughter Paula and Gordon Smith and son Marian and daughter Marla. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Claine Smith of Tremonton. Jones and daughters Geri and Jennifer and son Blair accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whiting of Plymouth attended the football game between Ricks college and Brigham Young university held at Rexburg Saturday. BYU was victorious. It was Ricks college homecoming day. Ricky Jones who is enrolled at Ricks participated on the team. Friday evening Mrs. Lucille Potter and Mrs. Effie Potter attended the viewing for Mrs. Wanda Secrist Telford held at the Russon Mortuary in Bountiful. Later they attended a wedding reception for the ladies nephew and his wife Mr. and Mrs. Mark (Dora Ann Olson) Manning held in the reception center in Salt Lake City. They were joined by Mrs. Elaine Stuart of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. R. Dean Grover of Salt Lake City. The ladies were over-nigguests at the R.
