Show Grouse Creek News same concern their former people. So now, after reading comments in the letters to editors section this week, I am ready to begin my column. From past experience I know that many will be interested in even the comings and goings, and hopefully those who are bored will please just skip it Ok? We are pleased to report that Milton and Marsha Oman are proud parents of a new baby daughter. The baby arrived Tuesday morning and weighed nine pounds II ounces. Sara Ann who is almost 3, will certainly be thrilled with a baby sister. home-tow- n Business Trip Duane, Vivian and daughter, Jodi, were in Salt Lake on a business trip Wednesday and Thursday. They also visited in Tremonton with Jeff Thomas and in Clearfield with Vivians parents. Saturday was a very special day for Mrs. Hattie Tanner when all of her family met in Plain City for her birthday party. Hattie returned with her daughter, Mrs. Eva Mortenson of Salt Late, on Thursday and spent a couple of days with her Monson, and daughter-in-law- , te and Virginia Tanner. They were hosts at a party honoring Mrs. Hattie Tanner for her birthday anniversary on Friday. Sons, daughters and members of their families'were all in attendance. Hatties family are Mervin and LaVerne Tanner of Brigham City, Max and Melissa Tanner, Grouse Creek, Fern and Jack Hutchins of Ogden, Eva and J.M. Mortenson of Salt Lake, Monte and Virginia Tanner, of Plain City, Fae and Dean Patterson of Kaysville. Hattie returned home Saturday with Max and Melissa. Wayne Kimber of Roy was Brigham City, Utah Thursday, September 30, 1976 local center Try Again A group of boys were anxious to have their name in the news and I bungled it so please bear with me and Ill try again. Darrell Tanner, treachers quorum adviser, and Ken Alder, first Counselor in the bishopric, brought their boys to Grouse Creek for a weekend of fun. Darrell hosted the party and brought the guys in his suburban. They stayed overnight in Darrells parents mobile home and Vera and Herbert Tanner served a delicious breakfast and luncheon for the company. Boys and leaders they went hunting and shot their quota of birds. Participating in the fun were Toby Roberts, David Shinney, Allen Brown and. Jeff Obray all of the North Ogden Fourth ward. Enjoying a fishing trip to this community on Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. Arlin Madsen, Mr. and Mrs. Bus Lish of Dewey-villI know they were successful, we shared the fish. Mrs. Celeste Kimber and Mrs. Melissa Tanner were in Tremonton for Celeste's doctor appointment on Monday. An open house honoring Allen .Smith and his new bride, Julie Ann Shaw, was held in Ogden Friday evening. Allen and Julie were married recently in Nevada and will be making their home in Riverdale. priced at cers. From Grouse Creek Attending the reception from Grouse Creek was Allens grandmother, Mrs. Olive Kimber, and also Grant and Naomi Kimber and son, Gary. Jay Tanner came down from Burley then returned to Grouse Creek for the weekend. Bambi, Blair and Brian Thompson also attended. Allen is the son of Verl and Delma Smith of Ogden. Mrs. Elizabeth Kimber and children, Wade and Lisa, are spending a week in Malta, Idaho with her father, Afton Nye. She planned to chaperone a birthday slumber party for her sister, Robyn, while her mother is on a tour to Hawaii. Charles and Leah Kimber of Brigham caught up on some of their ranch work in Grouse Creek during the weekend. Bambi Thompson returned to for all adult dan- lived in Archie and Rheas Paskett home this summer. Steven and Gary Kimber of Ogden were home for the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Kimber. Richard Kimber and son, Terry, of Brigham were in Grouse Creek over the weekend. They also had guests, Dr. Devoe Rickert and son from the University of Utah. All were Saturday dinner guests of Richards parents, Ivan and Raida Kimber. Other weekend guests of Ivan and Raida Kimber were Lynn and Diana Kimber and their son Paul of Ogden. Coming out to the ranch to spend the weekend were Douglas and Luanan Richins and their family Sheldon and Julie Richins, Sherman, Anita and Steven Richins came from their; homes in Riverside and also brought a friend, Julie Gibbs of Portage. The time was spent in riding for cattle and enjoying their visit together. , Had Accident Mrs. Judy (Keith) Kimber met with an accident in Alma, Idaho this weekend on her way to Grouse Creek. I dont have the particulars except that she was not injured. John and Flo Gross went over to see about her and then Judy returned to her home in American Falls. On Sunday John and Flo went to Idaho to take back little John to his parents, Judy and Keith Kimber. He had been with his grandparnts while his parents were in Salt Lake on a few days pleasure trip. In Logan Friday Jerry Roundy and his son, David, were in Snowville and Logan on a business trip Friday. They were overnight visitors of Jerrys sister, Merle, in Logan. From there they went to Burley and back home Saturday. Its almost like having a twin for little Thann who just recently celebrated his first birthday anniversary. Visiting over the weekend at the home of Ray and Wilda Kimber and family were Wildas brother, Kent Frost and his son and daughter from Boise Idaho. The Frosts were here from Friday to Sunday and had an enjoyable visit. On Saturday evening Ray Junior and Sharon Kimber came over from their home in Oakley and joined the family. Betty Jean Kimber is employed in Burley and is living with Mrs. Fern Peterson. Merlin and Kenna Tanner rushed Dell and his wife Ella Tanner to Ogden Saturday for medical attention.
