She joined her brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Ralph Baird of Concord, Calif., in Provo at the Brigham Young university Aug. 20 and they drove to Las Vegas where they visited Mrs. Baird's brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Melvin Griffiths and family (former residents of Brigham City). They drove on to Carlsbad, Calif., for a few days visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bairds and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Alan w w son-in-la- (Beverly Baird) Jacobs and family. While there they visited Sea World and Disneyland. They joined Mrs. Korths sister Mrs. Barbara Canster of Sand Point, Idaho in Los Angeles and together they visited Mr. and Mrs. Michael Baird and family in Campbell before going to Concord at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Baird. In Concord they also visited 'Mr. and Mrs. Will (Bonnie Baird) Miller and family, and in Fairfield with Mr. and Mrs. Brent Baird and family. home Mrs. Korth was an overnight guest of her brother and sister-in-laDr. and Mrs. Richard Baird and family in Murray. En-rou- te w Son Blessed The small son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron (Kathy Miller) Wood was blessed by his father in sacrament meeting in the Fourth ward Sunday and given the name of Nolan Byron Wood. Following the meeting a family dinner party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Miller. In addition to Mr. and Mrs. Byron Wood and baby were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Doutre and family, Mrs. Rudy Miller of Tremonton, Mrs. Rayola Wise of Ogden, Mrs. Velda Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Wilcox and family, Mrs. Ann Bingham and three daughters of Fielding, Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Wood and family of Roosevelt. Spending the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clifford John were Mr. and Mrs. Darvel Anderson of Rockford, Idaho. Returning from a delightful California vacation are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Davis and son Sid. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Powers of Provo. They visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Davis and family in Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Divers and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jenkins and family in Los Angelos, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hess and family in St. George. They also visited many points of interest from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford John and son Byron were in Rexburg Tuesday. Byran remained and enrolled at Ricks college. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wheatley went by plane to La Jolla, Calif., Friday and attended funeral services for Lester Wheatley's brother Leon Wheatley, 63, on Saturday. The unit, which will serve the counties of Rich, Cache, Box Elder and Franklin, will hold a public meeting at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16 in the conference room of the Logan hospital to discuss the organizations purpose and elect officers. The purpose of the unit is to provide for local implementation of the activities and programs of the organization. It also will provide local representation and input to the Utah State affiliate and its committees. We urge all diabetics and family members of diabetics as well as professionals and others interested in diabetes to join with us in this first meeting.
