Coach Tot Workman, fresh from his first victory since taking the Hive helm, views the Warriors with respect. Morgan, Logan one-yar- Box Elder High schools junior varsity football team bulled C-- A record field of runners is expected for the fourth annual running of the Peach Days road race Saturday. The 11.1 mile event will begin at 10 a.m. at the tabernacle on about Second South and Main. Participants should be there in plenty of time to register for the race. The Golden Spike Track club is sponsor of the event which will see winners in six categories . and an overall winner crowned. Scott Bringhurst is the defending champion, but isnt expected to return to defend his title. A contingent of runners from Brigham Young university is also expected as well as runners from Intermountain school. The race winds its way through Brigham City streets, winding up along the Main street parade t route to give spectators a view of the runners arti they complete the course. Defensively, the Bees were paced by linebacker Kelly Fujikawa, end Lane Velasquez and halfback Kevin Farnsworth. The Hive jayvees are now on the season. The team promises to improve as the juniors learn to function as a team without the sevices of those juniors starting on the varsity or the more promising sophomores, Coach Ron Wolff said. McCarron, Brian Braithwaite and Reeves each was credited with two fumble recoveries and Kevin Keller had an interception. Against Logan, the Hivers scored first on a pass play, Davis to McCarron, with Eskelsen tossing to West for a pair of extra points. Davis then scored on a yard plungetfnd ReevesdW the same. McCarron had two interceptions and Keller one, while other standout defensive players were Robert Ash, Mike Hinch-maBraithwaite and Reeves.
