The Unique gift shop, located at 720 South Main, is moving down the street a short way to 740 South Main, in the new Galaxie motel complex being completed. The Unique is moving after xk years in its old location and will lease space in the downstairs area of the motel to sell authentic Indian jewelry and artifacts and other antique items. Barbara and Ralph Davis are owners of the business and Mrs. Davis is manager of the ' .A- are adding findings, jewelry items for people who want to make their own jewelry, she said. .The Unique officially reopens today after moving from the old location. A local beauty college has stepped in to help out at the Pioneer Memorial Nursing home when the homes beautician became ill and was unable to take care of the residents. Julie Jensen, Myrna Kent, DeEtta Crozier and Judy McDermott were among the students at Miss Darlenes Beauty college who donated time to fixing up the lady residents at the home. According to Connie Boer, who coordinates that activity at the home, the full time beautician became ill a few days ago and was unable to provide the service, which the ladies there enjoy as a regular part of their stay. We w$re in a dilemma without a beautician, but when the college was suggested and we asked them, they were very happy to help out and they do a wonderful job, she said.
