Mr. and Mrs. Rosel Zundel joined Mr. and Mrs. Nish Zundel and family of Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Valdez and family and Miss Cindy Bennett of Salt Lake City at the airport Saturday to welcome home Elder Michael Zundel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nish Zundel who has returned after fulfilling a LDS Mission in Switzerland. They were accompanied by R. T. Nish of Logan who remained in Roy with his and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schenk. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Keith Anderson and family in Pleasant View during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Potter and son Dean. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hess, Mrs. D. E. Hansen and daughter Ranee were in Woods Cross Saturday to watch the Little League football game. Participating in the game from Fielding were Lonnie Hess, Roy Hansen, Blair Jones, San Hess and Jared .Miller. The Bear River team were victorious. Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Flo Munson accompanied her back to Ogden. They went by way of Sardine canyon to see the autumn colors. Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Munson also visited Mr. and Mrs. Dent Mason and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hastings in Ogden. They enjoyed dinner at Maddox Ranch House in Perry. Overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rosel Zundel Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Williams of Glenwood, Canada. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Garn visited friends in Brigham City Sunday. Friday Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mason visited Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hansen and family in Brigham City and enjoyed lunch at the Idle Isle cafe. In the afternoon they fished at Glendale, Idaho and had dinner at a cafe in Preston. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Burton are happy over the arrival of a, grandson born to H. R. and Cordelia Burton Peterson at the Cottonwood hospital in Salt Lake City Sept. 22. They have two little girls Sherry and Brenda at home. Other proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. H. Keith Peterson of Richfield. John Sjoblom of Farmington is the great grandfather. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anger spent Sunday visiting Mrs. Angers brother Vern Allred in Ogden. Dinner guests of Mrs. Ethel Rudd Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Harris of Ogden. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pierson. On Business Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lamb were in Chesterfield, Idaho on business Tuesday. They also visited their daughter Mrs. Verna Jean Wakely and family in Bancroft. Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Udy were in Ogden on business Friday. Mrs. Jane Udy accompanied by her sister Mrs. Lenore Silvester of Riverside visited Mrs. Eva Zundel in Ogden Monday. Thursday Mrs. Mitchell Hess and Mrs. Ray Udy visited Mrs. Susan Barnes and family in Brigham City. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Peterson Sunday were Mr. and mrs. Floyd Peterson and children Brian, Michael, DeDe, Kelly, Amy and Joseph of Clinton. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lamb and family were Mr. and Mrs. LaMont Wakely and family of Bancroft and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hoesch of Layton. Mrs. Edith Atkinson of Samaria was a Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Udy and family. Mrs. Donald Vanderhoof visited her sister Miss Tamra Udy in Ogden Saturday and they enjoyed luncheon at a downtown Mrs. LaNae Wakely of Malad visited her parents Mr. and Mrs. Steed Estep during the week. Bless Infant Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Hess and family attended Sacrament meeting in Fielding Sunday morning where Mitchell Hess blessed his granddaughter, daughter of Randy and Carol Ann Scott Hess and gave her the name of Shariann Hess. Following the meeting Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Hess and family attended a family dinner party held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Scott and family in Fielding. Mrs. Nina Lamb spent Sunday visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Herman Thompson in Cla-rksto- Mr. and Mrs. Oleen Joseph-so- n visited Mrs. Josephsons sister Mrs. Maude Call in Malad Sunday. They also visited John Jones who is receiving medical care in the Malad hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Anderson and daughter Tina of Riverside were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Owen and family. In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Anderson and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Owen and children and Shaun and Tawnie enjoyed fishing at Deep Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stokes, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Udy enjoyed a taco party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bourne in West Fielding Saturday evening. Mrs. Helen Severson accompanied by Jeff Showell of Tremonton returned Tuesday vacation. They were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnston in Columbia Falls, Montana. They visited Glacier National Park, Waterton Lake and the Cardston Temple and Visitors Center in Canada. Enroute home they stopped in Great Falls, Mont., and visited Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Clark in Riverton, Wyo. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Willis Walton in Layton, PTA spent Friday through Sunday as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bob (Susie) Owens and family in Orem. in the Cindy participated intercollegiate rodeo held at BYU where she was named Cowgirl. She received first place in goat tying and second in break-awaroping. She received a saddle and silver belt buckle. The USU girls team consisting of Cindy Coombs, Vickie Leavitt of Fielding and Pam Falerno of Ogden won the team trophy for the second consecutive time. The first time was at Ricks college in Rexburg the latter part of August. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy (Carol Ann Scott) Hess was blessed by her grandfather Mitchell Hess in Sacrament meeting Sunday and given the name of Shariann Hess. Following the meeting Mr. and Mrs. Don Scott entertained at a family dinner party at their home. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Randy Hess and family, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Scott and family, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hess and family of Fielding, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Hess and y President Mesa Visitors Dr. and Mrs. Owen J. Jones of Mesa visited Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Jones and family and Mr. and Mrs. Orvin Pierson and family last week. Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams spent the weekend in Salt Lake City to visit their son Darryl who is receiving care at the University Medical Center. They report he has blood clots in his lungs at the present time which doctors are trying to dissolve. Visiting Darryl Adams in the University Medical Mrs. Keith Coombs and daughters Cindy and JoAnn and Mrs. Boyd Udy and son Brett Woodrow N. Pierce of 647 South First East, Brigham City, has received a Sustained Superior Performance award at ceremonies at Hill AFB. He was cited for excellent work as an aircraft mechanic in the maintenance directorate at Hill. Pierce and his wife, Ada, have three children. Church The Educational Center for Continuing Education is sponsoring the "Know Your Religion Lecture Series" in the Ogden area. . The 1975-7- 6 series will begin on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Ogden LDS tabernacle, from 7:30 until 9 p.m. Roy W. Doxey will begin the series on Oct. 11. His lecture title will be Doctrine and Covenants Prophecies, Part His second lecture will be titled "Doctrine and Covenants Prophecies, Part II," on Oct. 25. Doxey is dean emeritus, college of religious instruction, and professor emeritus of church history and doctrine at Brigham Young university. He is listed in Whos Who in the West and Directory of International Biography. Doxey has served in many positions in the LDS church, including a bishops counselor, high counselor, mission president, YMMIA general board, stake president, and currently serves as a regional representative of the Quorum of the Twelve. He is a popular author and lecturer and appears on many System-Ogde- cream and cake for her birthday anniversary. Enjoying the afternoon with her were n I. Tuesday evening Mrs. Velda Wood had as her dinner guests Mr. and Mrs. Byron Wood of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Wilcox and family, Mrs. Ann Bigham and three daughters. The occasion was Mrs. Woods birthday anniversary. During the evening her son Terry called from Capser, Wyo., and her son Kirk called from Roosevelt to extend seminar and special lecture programs throughout the best wishes. Some 653 persons registered to purchase the items which Utah courts confiscated from wildlife law violators. The 63 rifles and shotguns, 158 rods and reels, and 28 miscellaneous items were purchased by 128 pesons. The division is required by law to sell confiscated items at public auction. Revenue derived goes into the Wildlife Resources account, from which the legislature appropriates money to the division. with One of university in Logan. The four couples later enjoyed a dinner party at Juniper Inn near Smithfield. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Smith and family Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Kimber and son Paul of Ogden. Daren Smith 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Smith had the misfortune of breaking his arm while playing football recently. He received treatment at the Valley hsopital in Tremonton until Wednesday when he was transfered to the Logan hospital where he underwent surgery. He returned home Sunday. Lanny Smith returned home Wednesday after spending a" week in Dallas, Texas attending special schooling for the Dyna System. Sunday he left to spend a week in Idaho Falls where he will receive additional training. Monday Mrs. Aloha Garn accompanied by her sister Miss Judy Taylor of Provo visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Earl in Salt Lake City. Following the football game held in Smithfield Friday evening with Bear River High vs. Sky View, Miss Cindy Scott entertained at an Enchilada party at her home. Guests were Mark Weese, David Falk and Ilene Udy. Later the group drove to Logan for ice cream at 31. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mr. David Scott and family were Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Gee and family of Clearfield. Center Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss. Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Kent of Tremonton. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gordon of Smithfield spent Monday visiting their daughter Mrs. DeVere Adams and family. Last Tuesday, Mrs. Velda Wood was delightfully surprised when a group of relatives came in unexpectedly bringing ice- - Dinner Meeting Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Garn attended a dinner and meeting for Utah Mrs. Nancy McCulloch and daughter Kaylene of Sunset spent Saturday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Garn and family. Visiting Mrs. Vivian Godfrey in Clarkston Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Godfrey. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Anderson entertained at a dinner party at their home Sunday honoring Mrs. Anderson's parents Patriarch and Mrs. Leo Earl of Logan who were observing their 60th wedding anniversary. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Anderson and Garon Anderson of Fielding. Judy Taylor of Provo has been spending several days and visiting her brother-in-lasister Mr. and Mrs. Clive Garn and family. Thursday Mrs. Clive Garn and her sister Judy attended a session at the Ogden Temple along with Mrs. Garns aunt Mrs. Alex Taylor of Whittier, Calif. They were joined by many other family members. Later they all enjoyed dinner at the Lions Den. Friday Mr. and Mrs. Clive Garn accompanied by Miss Judy Taylor of Provo attended a wedding ceremony in the Ogden Temple where Mrs. Garns cousin Russ Taylor of Burley claimed Debbie Taylor as his bride. About 50 family members attended a wedding breakfast held at the Lions Den. Pat Curtis n presided. Principal Don introduced new faculty members who are Barbara Paul, Barbara Combes and Vernell Morrison. An outline of the years activities followed. Punch and cookies were served.
