Childrens church is held in the classrooms areas. This is for children of preschool age and through the fifth grade. An informal evening service is held at 6:30, with studies from the book of Acts. The nomination was approved at a recent meeting of the National FFA Board of Directors in Alexandria, Va. One of 701 FFA members nominated for the American Farmer Degree, Brian will receive the degree in a special ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 13, pending a final vote of approval of 119 student delegates who represent FFA members in convention business sessions. World Communion will be celebrated St. Hicliart' Episcopal Sunday, Oct. 5, is the twentieth Sunday after Pentecost. The holy eucharist will be celebrated at 11 oclock. The midweek celebration of the holy eucharist is scheduled by 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8. Church school meets at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in Gillespie Hall. Sunday at Holy Cross Lutheran church of Brigham City this coming Sunday with a service of holy communion at the 9 a.m. worship service. This first Sunday in October is traditionally observed by churches in all parts of the world as a day to recognize the unity all Christians have in Jesus Christ, and to demonstrate this unity with the common celebration of the sacrament of the altar. All members and friends of Holy Cross are urged to be present this day to receive the sacrament and to share together in the fellowship of the Lords table. Reverend John Lundblad, the pastor of the congregation, will be preaching All One Body on the theme, We!, a reference to the unity of the one church around the world, however divided by language, national boundary, or demoninational lines. The pastor is looking for a good number out to prepare the church for the winter months. October will be Harvest Month at the Bible Church. Each week, families will be sharing in their canned goods to help a needy family.
